Job Description & Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
• Manage and oversee day-to-day financial operations
• Lead and develop a high performing finance team, through guidance and mentorship
• Generate monthly management accounts in line with accounting standards
• Work closely with the team to establish and maintain further financial policies and procedures for the company
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes
• Research and analyse financial reports in line with market trends
• Oversee cash flow management
• Oversee taxation and liaising with external firms for advice
• Seek out methods for minimising financial risk for the company
• Liaise with auditors for the preparation of the audited financial reports
• Oversee and participate in general management functions, including management meetings, the recruitment of team members, and the handling of the company’s performance management process for the finance team
Qualifications required
Applicants must be in possession of tertiary level of education, ACCA qualified or equivalent.
Experience required
Applicants must have two years' post qualification experience working in a finance role as well as a warrant to act as an Accountant as issued by the Malta Institute of Accountants.
In addition, the ideal candidate must:
