Job Description & Responsibilities
We are seeking a motivated Accounting Assistant to perform daily accounting tasks that will support our financial team.
Responsibilities include:
• Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies
• Create and update reports
• Visit our branches and check cashiers and reports
• Prepare bank deposits
• Update information in software (Xero)
• Check spreadsheets for accuracy
• Maintain digital and physical financial records
• Issue invoices to customers and external partners, as needed
• Review and file payroll documents
• Participate in quarterly and annual audits
• Staff timesheet control
Qualifications required
Applicants must have knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures.
Experience required
Applicants must have previous work experience as an Accounting Assistant or Accounting Clerk and hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software (e.g. Xero).
In addition, the ideal candidate must:
• Be familiar with finance regulations
• Have good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
• Be able to co-operate with colleagues from various departments
• Be able to work independently
• Have organization skills
• Have excellent verbal and communication skills
• Be in possession of a driving licence
• Be fluent in English
