Job Description & Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
• Ensuring timely and accurate bookkeeping
• Posting journal entries and performing month-end closure procedures
• Processing payments
• Performing reconciliations including bank and stock
• Preparing quarterly VAT computations and submitting VAT returns
• Assisting in annual financial audits and liaising with external auditors
• Preparing payroll and assisting in HR related duties including registration of employees
• Assisting the team in customer service, invoicing, and receipts
• Carrying out other duties as required by the manager
Qualifications required
Applicants must be knowledgeable in accounting and bookkeeping practices. Knowledge and experience in accounting software packages is also an asset.
Applicant must be fluent in English and Maltese
Experience required
A minimum of 2 year experience in a similar role is required.
