Job Description & Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
• Preparing management accounts
• Performing month-end closure procedures
• Ensuring timely and accurate accounting
• Posting journal entries
• Processing payments
• Performing reconciliations including bank, stock, payroll and billing
• Preparing quarterly VAT computations and submitting VAT returns
• Assisting in annual financial audits and liaising with external auditors
• Liaising with banks
• Creating and updating finance procedures
• Ensuring adherence to internal controls
• Assisting with the submission of monthly information requested by the CFO
• Carrying out other duties as required by CFO
Qualifications required
Applicants must have attained or be in the final stages of attaining the ACCA or similar qualification.
Experience required
Applicants must have 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
The ideal candidate must:

• Be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Be able to multitask
• Have strong planning and organisation skills
• Have strong team player skills with a high sense of initiative
• Demonstrate a positive and can-do attitude
• Have experience with Shireburn Financial Manager (will be considered an asset)
