Job Description & Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining client’s accounting records, including:
• Posting and vetting accounting entries
• Preparing reconciliations of bank statements
• Maintaining the monthly accounting records
• Preparing management accounts
• Liaising with auditors on behalf of clients
• Filing, scanning and keeping up to date the accounting files of clients
• Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns and recapitulative statements
• Preparing and submitting tax returns
• Handling payroll for clients including the submission of FS3s and FS7 annually
• Preparing and submitting monthly FS5s
• Assisting with any accounting-related matters for internal companies
• Ordering tax certificates for clients and submitting DDT exemption forms
• Carrying out any other task related to or ancillary to the above
Qualifications required
Applicants must be in possession of an Accounting qualification (University degree, ACCA, or equivalent) and must also be warranted.
Experience required
Applicants must have at least three years of experience in a similar role. Applicants for a part-time position would also be considered.
The ideal candidate must:
• Have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
• Be able to develop and maintain effective relationships with clients
• Be competent in the use of standard office tools
• Have good organizational skills
