Job Description & Responsibilities

We are currently looking for an Accounts Officer to join the Finance team. The role primarily involves recording financial information into the accounting software, performing various daily Excel reconciliations, sending daily payments to customers and suppliers, and assisting in preparing the management and financial reports.

Responsibilities include:
• Monitoring emails and other means of communication from external and internal sources
• Providing assistance in the production of timely and accurate management accounts
• Preparing general ledger postings
• Performing bank reconciliations in a timely manner
• Creating and processing accounts receivable invoices
• Ensuring timely payments from Customers and cross-checking incoming funds against accounts receivable transactions
• Analysing, organising and managing supplier invoices
• Managing accounts payable aged analysis
• Preparing, allocating payments and communicating remittance advices
• Managing affiliate invoices and payments
• Preparing daily and monthly reconciliations between PSP’s data and back-end system data
• Performing other ad-hoc tasks as required

Qualifications required

Applicants must be in possession of the AAT Qualification or be in the process of obtaining ACCA qualification/Degree in accountancy.

Experience required

Applicants must have at least 2 years' experience in a similar role.

The ideal candidate must:
• Be highly driven and motivated to learn
• Have advanced working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft applications
• Have strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrate attention to detail for ensuring the accuracy of a company’s records and invoices
• Have excellent efficiency for handling any accounting issues quickly with minimal interference
• Have strong team spirit
• Be fluent in the English language
• Be comfortable in a fast pace and international environment

Nice to have:
• Some knowledge of Sage Evolution
