Job Description & Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
• Preparing management accounts
• Assisting in the annual budget preparation
• Compiling tax returns and VAT returns
• Updating the fixed asset register
• Assisting in the Group’s treasury function
• Preparing reports to management and regulatory bodies as and when required
• Working in line with policies and procedures
• Fostering relationships with other departments regarding financial matters
• Preparing appropriate financial documentations to support internal auditing and assist
external auditors in responding to their queries promptly
• Assisting in the interpretation and recommendations arising from internal audits and the year-end audit
Qualifications required
Applicants must be qualified Accountants or be in the final stages of attaining an Accounting qualification.
Experience required
Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years working experience in a similar role.
In addition, the ideal candidate must:
• Keep abreast of financial management and reporting best practices
• Be well versed with MS Office, in particular Excel, Word and Power Point
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills in both Maltese and English
• Be able to deliver accurate and timely information consistently
• Demonstrate integrity and team playing abilities
