Job Description & Responsibilities
As the Junior Accountant in TMF Group, the selected candidate will be supporting our senior professionals on a portfolio of clients for whom TMF Group provides International Pension services.
Through work for various clients, you will have the opportunity to enrich your knowledge of specific regulations related to pension funds. You will get industry best practice and be up to date with the latest standards and legislation.
Key responsibilities include:
• Request / download the client's valuations on a quarterly basis
• Prepare the clients' accounting
• Ensure that all incoming and outgoing cash and assets are in line with the Trustee’s instructions and other applicable forms
• Liaise with the investment banks for any investment documentation or clarifications required on trades and other transactions
• Prepare and send to the clients annual asset summaries and other related information
• Assist during the schemes audit
Qualifications required
Proven accountancy knowledge related to financial assets will be highly preferred.
Experience required
To excel in this role, applicants must have solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles, including knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping and general ledger management.
In addition, the ideal candidate must:
• Have knowledge of formulas used within Microsoft excel
• Be able to work under tight deadlines
• Have good interpersonal and organizational skills
• Be able to work within a team and communicate with clients and colleagues at all levels
• Be self-motivated with a structured and determined approach to work
