We are searching for a talented and motivated Client Accounting Manager to join our client, a well-established financial services firm. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of a dynamic company while providing exceptional service to a diverse client base.
In this leadership role, you will not only manage your own accounting portfolio but also play a key role in supporting the overall efficiency and well-being of the team.
Responsibilities include:
• Manage a portfolio of assigned clients, delivering efficient and high-quality accounting services
• Ensure compliance with Maltese accounting and tax regulations, adhering to all internal procedures and standards
• Prepare client accounts and management reports for accurate financial analysis
• Handle VAT return preparation and submission
• Complete tax return preparation and filing
• Generate payroll reports and ensure timely submission
• Implement and maintain internal controls and established procedures
• Issue invoices and prepare payment instructions as required
• Liaise with external auditors to facilitate a smooth audit process
• Supervise and mentor junior staff
Qualifications required
Applicants must be in possession of a University degree in Accounting or ACCA qualification.
Experience required
Applicants must have at least 3-5 years of experience in client accounting.
In addition, applicants must:
• Have profound understanding of Maltese VAT and Tax Law
• Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Xero, Quickbooks, Shireburn, SAGE)
• Have a proven ability to effectively manage deadlines and prioritize tasks
• Have exceptional organizational skills with a meticulous eye for detail
• Be a strong team player with clear communication skills for collaboration with clients and colleagues across all levels
• Be self-motivated with a structured and determined work ethic
• Be fluent in English; proficiency in other languages would be an asset
• Thrive in a goal-oriented environment, possess analytical skills, adept multitasking abilities, and the capability to work efficiently under pressure
• Exhibit enthusiasm for both supporting and leading others within the team
Additionally, experience in a supervisory/mentoring role would be an asset.
