Job Description & Responsibilities
We’re searching for a meticulous and driven professional to join our client as an Accounts Officer. In this position, you’ll leverage your accounting expertise to tackle a diverse range of financial transactions, reporting, and record keeping tasks.
Responsibilities include:
• Verify and handle invoices, payments, and other financial entries for both accounts payable and receivable, ensuring precision and integrity of financial data
• Regularly reconcile bank statements and other accounts to maintain accuracy and detect any inconsistencies
• Contribute to the preparation of financial reports while collaborating with auditors to ensure regulatory compliance
• Oversee expense accruals and conduct precise balance sheet reconciliations
• Execute diverse administrative and accounting duties to facilitate seamless financial processes, including monitoring bank transfers and adhering to established protocols
Qualifications required
Applicants must have an educational background in Accounts, Finance, or an equivalent field. Professional accounting certifications such as CPA or ACCA will be considered an asset.
Experience required
Applicants must have previous experience in a comparable position.
In addition, the ideal candidate must:
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Have a keen eye for detail, exceptional organizational and time-management capabilities, as well as analytical thinking with problem-solving skills
• Be able to work collaboratively within a team setting
• Have knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems (will be considered advantageous)
• Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and other pertinent software applications
