Job Description & Responsibilities
We are currently growing our Finance team and are looking for a candidate who will be responsible for supporting the financial planning and analysis functions within the organization. The Junior Financial Analyst will be in charge of internal accounting processes, including posting of transactions, creditors and debtors administration and performing analyses on the costs incurred by the Company. The selected candidate will be reporting directly to the Finance Manager and will liaise with other departments on a regular basis.
Responsibilities include:
• Work closely to the Finance Manager to prepare projections/budgets with the collaboration of various internal teams
• Monitor and track budget performance against actual results, identifying and analysing discrepancies
• File and maintain records and reports pertinent to accounting and bookkeeping
• Post transactions and their VAT treatment into the accounting system
• Generate sales invoices from the accounting system
• Issue list of outstanding purchase invoices to be paid from the accounting system
• Manage and reconcile the payment inflows and outflows on a regular basis
• Assist with end of the month processes
• Analyse the nature and posting of crypto transactions
• Update the accounting system with information pertaining to new customers, suppliers or bank accounts
• Support the Finance Manager with the preparation of presentations and reports
• Assist with KYC processes performed by current and potential service providers
• Courteously liaise with other staff members and third parties (customers, suppliers and auditors), as may be requested
• Provide assistance with other financial matters, as may be requested

Qualifications required
Applicants must have an Accounts A' level standard or at least ACCA F1-F3 qualification or equivalent.
Experience required
Applicants must have previous experience in a similar role. Only candidates with experience in a Finance role working with Malta-registered companies will be considered for this position.
The ideal candidate must:
• Have good knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
• Be familiar with accounting systems
• Understand accounting principles and preferably Maltese financial legislation
• Be ready to assist other department staff members as may be required
• Have a good command of the Maltese and English languages
• Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Be self-motivated, able to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines
• Pay attention to detail and ensure efficiency
• Have strong interpersonal skills, and most importantly be a team player
• Have knowledge of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency experience (will be a plus)
