Job Description & Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
• Oversee a team of 20+ professionals, ensuring requests and tasks are handled in a timely and efficient manner
• Report frequently to management, both locally and overseas, on day-to-day operational and financial matters
• Oversee the audit process, including coordination of meetings with auditors and ensuring all deadlines are met
• Drive the team to meet various deadlines, including internal reporting, VAT, tax, and other regulatory submissions
• Assist with local and foreign tax matters as required
• Review statutory financial statements in accordance with IFRS, ensuring full compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
• Review month-end results prepared by the team and maintain open communication with Head Office
• Participate in the recruitment of team members and conduct or attend periodic performance appraisals
• Propose process improvements and operational changes to management to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
• Demonstrate strong PowerPoint skills to create clear, concise presentations for senior management
• Communicate confidently and effectively to ensure messages are delivered with clarity and impact
Qualifications required
Applicants must be fully qualified Accountants.
Experience required
Applicants must have 10 years of experience in accounting and in a management position. Experience in the tourism industry is preferable, though not essential.
The ideal candidate must:
• Have experience in accounting matters across different jurisdictions (will be considered an asset)
• Be fluent in English, both spoken and written
• Thrive in a fast-paced working environment and demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Be willing and available to travel at least three times per year
• Demonstrate personal credibility, integrity, and high moral standards
• Be results-oriented, responsible, highly meticulous, and detail-oriented
• Be self-motivated and capable of working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
