Job Description & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will support the Chief Administrative Officer in the day-to-day running and will prepare accounting records, account reconciliations, and reporting requirements to the parent company.

Responsibilities include:
• Helping the Chief Administrative Officer with the monthly payroll preparation and reporting requirements to the Orona HHRR department
• Maintaining accounting records and completing day-to-day bookkeeping
• Following up on payments and collections due. Monitoring the performance of staff members responsible of customer debts
• Preparing account reconciliations and review reports from business systems to ensure that the transactions are properly reflected in the accounts
• Helping the Chief Administrative Officer with the month-end closing tasks and reporting requirements to the Orona Finance Department
• Ensuring that the administration staff members adhere to procedures
• Carrying out any other duties delegated by the superior as/when required

Qualifications required

Applicants must be in possession of an MCAST Diploma in Accounting / AAT diploma / A’ Level in Accounting. Candidates who are pursuing an ACCA qualification will be given preference.

Experience required

Applicants must have at least 3 years work experience in accounting. Experience working for audit & consulting companies will be considered as an asset.

The ideal candidate must:
• Be proficient with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and database systems
• Have experience in ERPs (SAP, Sage etc) (will be given preference)
• Be proficient in English. Fluency in Maltese will be considered an asset
