Job Description & Responsibilities
As part of our continued growth, we are seeking to expand our internal accounts team with a Group Accountant. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their expertise within a professional and collaborative environment that values initiative, integrity, and career progression.
The chosen candidate will be working on a range of tasks, which will include:
Finance & Accounting
• Record purchase and sales invoices and daily financial transactions in the accounting system, ensuring proper supporting documentation
• Monitor bank accounts and petty cash, including monthly reconciliations
• Assist with the preparation and issuance of periodic and ad hoc client invoices and statements
• Manage intercompany invoicing and reconcile related party transactions
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, including supplier reconciliations and debtor follow-ups
• Handle day-to-day finance-related queries from suppliers and internal teams
• Process payments with accuracy and timeliness
• Support the preparation of quarterly management accounts, annual financial statements, and audits
• Maintain and improve internal controls to ensure financial accuracy and regulatory compliance
• Assist the Financial Controller with daily operations and ad hoc projects
Administrative & Operational Support
• Prepare cost control and budget monitoring reports
• Support financial planning activities and reporting requirements
• Provide administrative assistance including document management and office coordination
• Participate in cross-functional projects or assignments as needed by management

Qualifications required
A qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related field will be considered an asset.
Experience required
Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar finance or accounting role.
The ideal candidate must:
• Be a current resident of Malta
• Have knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, in particular Excel
• Be able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently and collaboratively
• Have strong attention to detail, with good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Have experience in using Navision (will be considered an asset)
