Job Description & Responsibilities

We are looking for a Client Accountant to strengthen our Client Accounting Department. The selected candidate will join a team of professional accountants and will report to the Directors. Applicants for this post must be energetic, willing to learn and develop further their career.

The chosen candidate will be working on a range of tasks, which will include:
• Maintaining accounting records for a portfolio of clients
• Acting as a liaison to a portfolio of clients and addressing their queries
• Handling tax reporting, payments and liaising with tax authorities
• Handling VAT compliance and preparation
• Liaising with the local authorities
• Providing accounting consultancy if required
• Providing payroll support to some clients

Qualifications required

Applicants must possess or are in the final stages of obtaining an Accounting Qualification (University Masters in Accountancy / Bachelor's Degree with Honours / ACCA or Similar Qualification).

Experience required

Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting.

The ideal candidate must:
• Have knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, in particular Excel
• Have a sound knowledge of the IFRS and GAPSME reporting standards
• Be able to work on own initiative and in a team whilst also adhering to deadlines
• Have excellent analytical and numerical skills
• Be fluent in written and spoken English
