Job Description & Responsibilities
We are looking for a Junior Accountant to work within a fast growing and high-performance finance team. The ideal candidate will assist in daily accounting tasks, support revenue-related processes and handle finance queries. This role, reporting to the Financial Controller, is ideal for someone early in their accounting career, eager to grow in a dynamic B2B gaming environment, and committed to delivering accurate financial support to the business.
Job Functions:
• To act as custodian of financial processes and procedures ensuring that they are efficient and effective
• To identify, develop and maintain efficient and effective systems that provide timely and accurate cost reporting in accordance with Group policy and accounting standards
• To forecast short and long-term profit/loss and capital requirements
• To measure the company’s performance against financial plans

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in reconciling balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all journal entries and adjustments
• Assist in preparing cash flows in accordance with Group timetable, understanding variances from plan and identifying the actions needed to manage cash flow in line with the needs of the business
• Ensure all regulatory and statutory returns are completed accurately and on time
• Ensure that the inter-company process is managed with invoicing completed accurately and on time in line with Group policy with mismatches resolved within Group time limits
• Assist in the preparation of revenue workings and timely revenue recognition in line with company policies and accounting standards
• Support in generating invoices and ensuring proper billing processes are followed
• Work with other departments across PLS to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
• Liaise with auditors in respect of financial audits
• Handle day-to-day finance queries from internal departments and external stakeholders, providing accurate and timely responses
• Assist with supplier invoices’ issues and reconcile supplier statements
• Manage compliance requests from regulators
• Carry out any other ad-hoc tasks as required by the Financial Controller

Qualifications required
Applicants must be in the process of achieving an accountancy qualification.
Experience required
Applicants must have at least 2 years' experience in a similar role.
The ideal candidate must:
• Have an understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes
• Be proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Have experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central and Power BI (will be a plus)
• Have a working knowledge of generally accepted accounting and bookkeeping principles and procedures
