Job Description & Responsibilities
The selected candidate would be responsible to assist with the day-to-day bookkeeping affairs of a varied portfolio of clients.
The duties of the Bookkeeping Clerk shall be the undertaking of clerical tasks, such as bookkeeping, filing, handling phone calls and mail. Other duties will include data entry, bank reconciliations, processing payments, controlling credit and debt collection. Should it be required, the selected candidate may also be requested to assist in office administration duties.
We are a small team working in a comfortable environment and direct contact with clients.
Responsibilities include:
• Data entry to the various ledgers in Xero
• Assist with bookkeeping queries and bookkeeping specific engagements
• Perform various analyses as required
• Record and track foreign purchase orders and shipping documentation
• Assist in payables and receivables processing
• Update sales, expenses and reconciliations in Xero
• Handle filing
Lunch break and coffee included, as well as small play area for kids. The office is located in Mosta.
Qualifications required
Candidates are required to have a moderate level of education in bookkeeping and have experience with using accounting software such as Xero.
Experience required
2 years or more years accounting related experience would be ideal. Candidates in the early stages of their accounting career will also be considered.
Experience & skills:
• Be proficient with MS Excel and Xero
• Be a conscientious, hard-working team player with a high level of attention to detail and organisational skills
• Have working knowledge of Xero accounting software (would be ideal, although training can be provided)
• Be fluent in written and spoken English
• Have knowledge of German (would be considered as an asset)
