Job Description & Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:
• Reviewing any due diligence documents and following up with the team for relevant vetting
• Maintaining up to date information on the Company's systems and databases
• Issuing regular compliance reports as instructed by management
• Co-ordinating with clients and following up on changes within corporate entities, changes within the corporate structure, changes in directors, key persons, registered / operating addresses, and other company statutory changes
• Participating in meetings and / or calls with prospective clients and handling general queries received via e-mail or telephone
• Keeping up to date with developments, policies, and procedures issued by other institutions in relation to the industry
• Attending training, and conferences as required by the Company
• Contributing to the development and / or maintenance processes and policies to achieve the objectives of the Department and in line with the changing requirements of the industry
• Inputting / reviewing KYC and due diligence documents and following up with the team for relevant vetting
• Assisting with the preparation of regular compliance procedures and reporting as instructed by management
• Inputting sales and purchase invoices including ledgers, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
• Performing bank and cash reconciliations
• Assisting in financial audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries
• Assisting in the preparation of management accounts and supporting documentation
• Carrying out tasks as instructed by the Compliance and Finance Manager

Qualifications required

Applicants must have a degree level of education or equivalent. Diploma level or equivalent will be considered if complemented with relevant experience.

Experience required

Applicants must have a minimum of 1 year experience in compliance role or and in an accounting environment. However, on the job training shall be provided.

In addition, the ideal candidate must:
• Be able to fluently communicate and write in both English and Maltese languages
• Be an excellent team player with the ability to work in a team environment and meet deadlines to ensure that the organizational goals are met
• Be able to complete assigned tasks efficiently and within stipulated time frames
• Be proficient in the use of computer applications including MS Word and MS Excel
