Job Description & Responsibilities
Whilst reporting to the Group’s Chief Financial Officer, the selected candidate will be responsible for recording and posting supplier invoices and payments, raising sales invoices, and making payments via an internet banking platform. S/he will also allocate customer receipts, handle supplier payments, and manage reconciliations with supplier statements and queries. Additionally, s/he will be tasked with bank and inter-company reconciliations, assisting with the preparation and submission of VAT and other statutory returns, and providing support with various accounting and administrative matters. The candidate will also assist in ad-hoc management reporting as needed.
This position calls for a mature, organised team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. A proactive, "can-do" attitude, along with a strong desire for personal growth and the ability to take initiative, are key qualities for success in this role.
Candidates must be able to work on-site from the company’s offices in Ghaxaq and be able provide character and employment references from previous employers upon request.
Qualifications required
Applicants must have an A' level in Accounting.
Experience required
The ideal candidate must:
• Have experience in accountancy and bookkeeping formalities
• Be able to work on own initiative and with minimum supervision within a dynamic environment
• Have good knowledge of Microsoft Office Software, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Have experience using Shireburn Financial Management
• Have a good command of the English and Maltese languages
