Job Description & Responsibilities
Our client, a family-run group of companies operating across multiple sectors including food manufacturers and retailers, are seeking to recruit a highly capable and driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their leadership team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the group’s operations, ensuring strong budgeting, cash flow management, financial reporting, and risk management.
This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring someone who is as comfortable getting into the details as they are leading a team. Strong communication skills, a passion for technology, and a proactive attitude toward continuous improvement are essential.
Qualifications required
Applicants must be in possession of a recognised professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, ACA).
Experience required
Applicants must as a minimum have 3 years’ experience in a senior finance role, ideally within a group structure or family business environment.
The ideal candidate must:
• Have Big 4 experience (will be considered a strong asset)
• Have proven experience in budgeting, cash flow management, financial reporting, and team leadership
• Have a hands-on approach with the ability to manage detail while leading and inspiring a team
• Have strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with family owners, senior management, and external stakeholders
• Have a passion for technology and its application to improve financial management and reporting processes
• Demonstrate a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism
