Job Description & Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
• Prepare reconciliations of bank accounts, cash book and intercompany transactions
• Maintain ledgers and regular reconciliations
• Assist in the day-to-day accounting tasks of various companies within the group
• Provide recommendations and business acumen to improve the general processes
• Assist with statutory and regulatory audit requests and queries
• Liaise, support and work cross-functionally with other departments
• Support the Finance Manager with relative tasks and perform other ad hoc tasks as may be required
Qualifications required
Applicants must be in possession of an Accountancy degree or be in the process of obtaining the ACCA qualification.
Experience required
Applicants must have 2+ years of experience in relevant accountancy roles.
The ideal candidate must:
• Be proficient in excel or google sheets
• Be attentive to detail and have problem-solving abilities
• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have excellent communication skills
• Have knowledge of Xero and Indigo accounting system (would be considered an asset but training will be provided)
• Have good planning skills and a positive mindset
