Job Description & Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
• Handling client bookkeeping using Xero and other accounting software
• Posting day-to-day transactions into the accounting system
• Performing bank, creditor, and debtor reconciliations
• Assisting in the preparation and submission of VAT returns
• Preparing and submitting tax returns for both companies and individuals
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records for client portfolios
• Assisting in client queries and liaising with tax and VAT departments as needed
• Supporting the team with any other accounting or administrative tasks
The ideal candidate must:
• Be a team player with a positive ‘can do’ attitude

• Be attentive to detail and quality-oriented
• Be able to work under own initiative
• Have experience with accounting software (especially Xero)
• Be proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Have excellent written and verbal Maltese and English skills
Qualifications required
Applicants must be in possession of, or be currently pursuing, a Degree or qualification in Accounting, such as ACCA or an equivalent qualification.
Experience required
Applicants must have a minimum of 1 year’s experience in Accounting or Auditing.
