Job Description & Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
• Performing daily bookkeeping tasks such as inputting of data on the Accounting Software
• Processing purchase invoices
• Preparing regular supplier reconciliations
• Monitoring debtor balances and ensuring that debts are paid in a timely manner
• Handling petty cash
• Posting and reconciling inter-company transactions
• Performing weekly reconciliations of bank account transactions
• Maintaining appropriate files, reports and documentation of data
• Assisting in the preparation of management accounts
• Assisting in the preparation of VAT returns
• Assisting in the annual statutory audits
• Performing other duties as assigned
• Participating in ad hoc projects and support the Accountant as needed
Qualifications required
Previous experience in a similar post considered beneficial.
Experience required
The ideal candidate must:
• Have intermediate Excel skills
• Have previous experience in using D365 and JIRA (will be considered beneficial)
• Have the capacity to apprehend the various sources of information used in accounting
• Have a high degree of accuracy with great attention to detail
• Be able to multitask, to manage priorities and to meet deadlines
• Be dedicated, enthusiastic and willing to learn
• Be able to work independently and be self-motivated
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Have strong command of English
