Job Description & Responsibilities
Our client is currently seeking to recruit a fully qualified accountant to join their Senior Management team and co-manage the firm’s Accounts Department. This position requires a highly organised and motivated professional who is ready to take the next step in their career.
Key responsibilities include:
• Co-managing a team of 4–5 professionals
• Ensuring compliance with accounting policies and standards
• Liaising with the firm’s directors, staff, and clients
• Supervising and reviewing the work of accounting staff on a daily basis
• Providing VAT advice to clients when required
• Coordinating with auditors and other departments within the firm
• Planning and prioritising workloads to meet strict deadlines

Qualifications required
Applicants must be in possession of a degree from the University of Malta (Honours or Master’s in Accountancy) or be a holder of the ACCA qualification.
In addition, applicants must be warranted accountants authorised to practise in Malta and possess a recognised qualification in Maltese Value Added Tax from an established professional institution in Malta.
Experience required
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years’ experience working in a similar environment and will, together with the firm’s other managers, be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients as well as overseeing the accounting team. A strong command of both written and spoken English is essential, while Italian language skills will be considered an asset.
