Job Description & Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
• Preparing client's accounts leading up to management accounts for a portfolio of clients
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Preparing and submitting tax returns
• Preparing and submitting payroll reports
• Following internal controls and procedures
• Issuing invoices and preparing payment instructions where necessary
• Liaising with external auditors
• Assisting clients with all formalities related to tax refunds
Qualifications required
Applicants must be fully qualified Accountants or be within one year of completing the ACCA qualification.
Experience required
Applicants must have 3-5 years of experience in accounting in Malta.
The ideal candidate must:
• Have good knowledge and experience in Malta VAT and tax law
• Have good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Have a proven ability to work with deadlines
• Have good personal and professional organizational skills
• Be able to work within a team and communicate with clients and colleagues at all levels
• Be self-motivated with a structured and determined approach to work
• Have previous experience working with Quickbooks (will be considered and asset)
• Be fluent in English, and Italian knowledge will be considered an asset
