Job Description & Responsibilities
We are seeking a Finance Operations Executive to join Insignia Cards Limited, a financial institution providing card products and services to clients in Malta and other European countries.
This is an exciting opportunity for the right individual who is willing to learn and grow within a dynamic company, fast expanding both locally and internationally.
The selected candidate will be reporting to the Head of Finance and will be assisting in the day to day management of the finance department and undertaking the financial administration in an effective and efficient manner
Main responsibilities include:
• Liaising with the company’s external auditors for the annual statutory audit
• Handling and posting cardholders manual payments, reversals and adjustments into the company's card management system
• Following up with Tech support on behalf of the finance team
• Overseeing the processing of cardholders’ queries and adjustments at cardholder level
• Performing customer reconciliations between card management system and accounting system
• Processing supplier invoices and payments in accordance with set budgets and approvals
• Ensuring accuracy in accounting records
• Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts and other ad hoc reporting as may be required
• Preparing VAT and Income tax returns
• Preparing bank reconciliations
Qualifications required
Applicants should possess a University Degree or equivalent in accounting and/or financial services or be in the process of finalising the ACCA qualification.
Experience required
Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years work experience in a similar role, preferably within a credit or financial institution. Card services experience is a plus.
In addition, the ideal candidate must:
• Have strong analytical skills
• Have proven work experience as a Finance Executive or similar role
• Have solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures
• Deliver high quality standard of work
• Be attentive to detail
• Be a team player
