Job Description & Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be primarily responsible to oversee the group’s financial structure, track cash flow, analyse strengths/weaknesses in the company’s finances and overseeing all aspects of its financial success.
The key duties and responsibilities of the role include:
• Provide leadership, direction and management of the finance and accounting team
• Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and members of the executive management team
• Manage the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, oversee the preparation of all financial reporting, and update on how budgets are progressing
• Advise on long-term business and financial planning
• Establish and develop relations with senior management and external partners and stakeholders
• Lead the legal, business intelligence, procurement, ERP, and project management units and review their performance on an ongoing basis
• Drive the company’s financial planning
• Perform risk management by analyzing the organization’s liabilities and investments and present such information to ExCo
• Decide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks
• Control and evaluate the organization’s fundraising plans and capital structure
• Ensure that cash flow is appropriate for the organization’s operations
• Manage vendor relationships
• Prepare reliable current and forecasting reports and present to ExCo (including management accounts, consolidated management accounts etc.)
• Set up and oversee the company’s finance IT system
• Ensure compliance with the law and company’s policies and that tax and legal statutory requirements are met
• Initiate and lead new projects on behalf of the Company, ensuring alignment with business objectives
• Take care of daily processes such as approval of payments, end of day processes and reconciliations etc
• Participate in the audit processes as may be required
• Oversee and liaise with international finance teams

Qualifications required
Applicants must be fully qualified and warranted Accountants.
Experience required
Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior management position and 5+ years exposure to international companies operating in a group of companies’ model.
In addition, the ideal candidate must:
• Have experience in a group financial position
• Have experience with corporate governance
• Be able to lead large, multiple disciplinary teams
• Have strong financial and accounting background, including an understanding of profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow management, and general finance and budgeting
• Have negotiation skills
• Have experience with budget management, public accounting and cash flow.
• Be able to understand new issues quickly and make informed decisions
• Be able to inspire confidence and create trust
• Be able to work under pressure, plan workload and delegate effectively
• Be fluent in written and spoken English
