Job Description & Responsibilities
Cargo / Hermanas Ltd is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant / Finance Manager to oversee the company’s financial operations and ensure accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting tasks, preparing financial reports, and supporting management with financial planning and decision-making.
Key responsibilities:
• Manage the company’s daily accounting operations
• Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and statements
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with local financial regulations
• Monitor cash flow and financial performance
• Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting
• Coordinate with external auditors and accountants when required
• Maintain accurate financial documentation and records
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to management

Qualifications required
Applicants must be in possession of a Degree or qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (ACCA or equivalent). Partly qualified candidates will also be considered.
Experience required
Applicants must have previous experience in accounting or financial managment.
The ideal candidate must:
• Have experience in corporate or logistics-related accounting
• Have knowledge of Maltese tax and financial regulations
• Have previous experience in accounting or financial management
• Have strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Have experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Have strong analytical and organisational skills
• Be able to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Have good communication and problem-solving skills
