Job Description & Responsibilities
Apart from the day-to-day work, the Financial Manager will be reporting directly to the General Manager and the Board of Directors. Responsibilities include:
• Take full ownership of the monthly management accounts reporting prepared by the management accountant and review in a timely manner to allow the reporting of the financial performance, cash flows and financial position
• Prepare job costs reporting highlighting potential improvements and work actively to effect improvements
• Take full ownership of the receivables department and ensure control within the system, the timely monitoring of debtors, credit control and effective reporting to the Board of Directors and General Manager as required
• Assist in the preparation of VAT returns
• Prepare financial related information in relation to new and upcoming investment projects
• Act as the first line of contact of the external auditors to ensure a prompt and accurate preparation of the statutory audit
• Support the accounts staff with daily monitoring of cash settlements and accounts receivables and motivate and lead the members of the finance team on a daily basis
• Take joint ownership of the ERP system allowing the company to remain abreast of new changes along with updates and highlighting along with managing improvements required
Qualifications required
Applicants must be in possession of the ACCA qualification or equivalent qualification.
Experience required
Applicants must have proven work experience in a similar position.
The ideal candidate must:
• Have solid knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word
• Have knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics (will be considered as an asset)
• Have excellent communication and people skills
• Have good organisational and multitasking abilities
• Have problem-solving skills
• Have analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
• Have multi-tasking abilities and time management skills
