Job Description & Responsibilities
Due to the expansion of business, our office is currently seeking to engage an Audit Senior (full time or reduced hours basis) to assist in servicing local and international clients. The successful candidate will form part of a young team and will work on a range of clients operating in a diverse range of industries. The position will suit someone who is looking for a role that will allow a balance between personal life and work.
The role involves the prospective employee to be involved in all aspects of the assignments from the planning to preparing a high quality completed file for partner review.
Responsibilities include:
• Planning the assignment, including the preparation / updating of the permanent file and briefing the team
• Preparing the audit assignment papers and budgets
• Ensuring that jobs are completed on time and within budget
• Completing the audit programmes
• Preparing corporation tax or income tax computations
• Controlling the assignments and ensuring that each section of the assignment is completed
• Presenting the audit partner with a complete assignment file
• Assisting in tasks related to compliance duties within the firm including the preparation of documentation required by pertinent authorities
The ideal candidate must possess excellent English and Maltese spoken and written skills, a good analytical mind and be prepared to work seamlessly within a small audit team.

Qualifications required
Applicants must be fully qualified accountants or be currently in their final stages of obtaining the ACCA qualification or equivalent.
Experience required
Applicants must ideally have one to two years' of experience working in a similar environment specialising in audit function.
Candidates having a good working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs), International Standards on Auditing (ISA)and GAPSME will be given preference.
