Job Description & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will form part of a dynamic team that handles a predominantly international clientele operating across a wide range of industries as well as the firm’s private clients. The role is therefore ideal for someone who wishes to broaden their experience and take on a challenge.
Responsibilities include:
• Develop technical knowledge in, advise on, and fulfil the compliance obligations of the employer and its group companies, with respect to FATCA, CRS, DAC and similar tax driven laws and regulations from time to time
• Lead and coordinate technical tax training internally and externally
• Lead and assist the Employer with advising clients on technical tax issues such as DAC, ATAD, Transfer Pricing rules, Pillar 2, the anticipated overhaul of the Maltese corporate tax regime and similar highly technical tax matters going forward
• Develop and implement tax-related processes and procedures
• Manage a small portfolio of clients and provide tax advisory services
• Represent the employer at conferences to promote the organisation’s tax expertise
• Conduct research and apply findings to provide tax advisory services to clients as well as publish articles and papers
• Support the growth of the Tax Advisory practice
• Perform other duties assigned by the employer or associated companies

Qualifications required
Applicants must be fully qualified Accountants.
Experience required
Applicants must have a minimum two years’ of work experience in this sector.
The ideal candidate must:
• Be in possession of the professional certificate in taxation. If the candidate is not in possession of the professional certificate in taxation, then one’s work experience will have to compensate for this and the candidate should be willing to undertake this certification, if needed
• Be proficient in MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook
• Have excellent written and spoken English
