Job Description & Responsibilities

The Accounts Payable Executive will be responsible for managing the full AP cycle for the Maltese entity, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal controls and local regulations. This role requires a detail oriented professional with a flair for numbers, excellent reconciliation skills, and the ability to build strong working relationships across the business and with external partners.

Key responsibilities:
• Manage the end to end Accounts Payable process, including invoice processing, coding, approvals, and payment runs
• Ensure all supplier invoices are accurately recorded and processed in line with company policies and Maltese regulatory requirements
• Perform supplier statement reconciliations, resolving discrepancies promptly and maintaining clean, up to date ledgers
• Prepare and execute weekly and monthly payment cycles, ensuring accuracy and timely settlement
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, addressing queries professionally and efficiently
• Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, finance, operations) to resolve issues and improve process flow
• Assist with month end closing, including AP accruals, reporting, and analysis
• Support audits by providing documentation, explanations, and reconciliations as required
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and enhanced controls

Qualifications required

Applicants must have an A' level in Accounting.

Experience required

Applicants must have experience in an Accounts Payable or similar accounting role, ideally within the Maltese market.

Skills:
• Strong understanding of AP processes, VAT considerations, and local compliance requirements
• Excellent reconciliation skills with a strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail
• Proficiency with ERP systems and solid Excel skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the confidence to build and maintain effective relationships and networks
• Proven ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and remain resilient in a fast paced environment
• A self starter with a proactive, solution oriented mindset
