Job Description & Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Senior Associate to join our Client Accounting team. Responsibilities include:
• Draft Financial Statements, Management Accounts or Profit & Loss for companies, sole traders and other organisations, analysis of variances and other ratios where need arises
• Assist with the preparation of management or annual accounts for audit purposes
• Prepare and submit applications with CFR
• Prepare and submit VAT returns
• Prepare payroll for a small portfolio of clients, when required
• Liaise with other departments within the Group
• Work within an accounting team under the supervision of the Accounts Manager / Assistant Manager
• Meet with clients forming part of the team portfolio and attend to their requests and queries
• Assist in other accounting duties, sometimes from the office or client premises as necessary
Qualifications required
Applicants must ideally be fully qualified Accountants (ACCA, CPA or Masters Degree in Accountancy). Applicants currently pursuing the ACCA qualification and in the final stages will also be considered.
Experience required
Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in client accounting, or experience in a similar role.
The ideal candidate must:
• Possess excellent analytical and numerical skills
• Have solid working knowledge of MS Excel, and ideally be familiar with either SAGE or XERO
• Be able to work on own initiative and in a team whilst also adhering to deadlines
• Be fluent in written and spoken English
