Class Optical – Malta's leading specialist in the optical industry for over 40 years – is growing, and we’re looking for a dynamic, proactive, and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Executive to join our team!
As a Senior Accounts Executive, you will be at the heart of our finance operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial records. Your responsibilities will include overseeing advanced accounting tasks, supporting month-end and year-end activities, and providing valuable financial insights to enhance operational efficiency.
In this role, you will also guide junior accounting staff, contribute to the streamlining of financial processes, and ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulations. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth within a collaborative and dynamic environment.
Who you are:
You are a detail-oriented professional with solid expertise in accounting and a proactive approach to solving challenges. You excel at preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and managing accounts receivable and payable, while fostering effective communication with colleagues, clients, and vendors.
With at least four years of experience in finance or accounting, you have a proven ability to handle complex tasks and deliver process improvements, making you a reliable and valued member of any finance team.
Who you'll be working with:
You’ll work closely with the Finance Manager and collaborate across internal teams to support smooth financial operations. Your role will also involve engagement with external auditors, vendors, and clients to ensure compliance and accuracy in all financial transactions.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
• Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, manage accruals and adjustments, and support month-end and year-end processes
• Oversee accounts receivable and payable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in invoicing, payments, and collections
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff
• Assist in optimizing financial software systems and reporting tools
• Support audit preparation, compliance activities, and financial risk management

Qualifications required
Applicants must be in the early stages of ACCA. However candidates having the right experience will also be considered, even if they are not pursuing the ACCA qualification.
Experience required
Applicants must have at least 4 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
Applicants must:
• Be proficient in financial software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Have strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills
