Job Description & Responsibilities

Business Doctors Malta is looking to recruit a Client Accounting Manager to lead and oversee the accounting function across a varied client portfolio. This is a great opportunity to join a forward-thinking consultancy firm committed to driving business improvement and delivering real value to clients.

Key responsibilities include:
• Manage and maintain accurate financial and accounting records
• Prepare cashflow reporting and budgets
• Prepare monthly management accounts, VAT returns, payroll, and tax returns
• Oversee bookkeeping processes and ensure compliance with accounting standards
• Liaise with clients and external auditors, offering financial insights and support
• Improve accounting workflows and contribute to system and process enhancements
• Supervise and support the bookkeeping team, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to internal processes and deadlines
• Support the team as required from time to time

Qualifications required

Applicants must be currently reading for an accounting degree such as ACCA or an equivalent qualification.

Experience required

Applicants must have a minimum 2 years’ experience in accounting role.

The ideal candidate must:
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; knowledge of accounting software is an asset such as Xero and SFM
• Be client-focused and have strong communication, analytical, and organisational skills
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Maltese languages
• Have a clean police conduct and valid driving licence
