Job Description & Responsibilities
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts Executive to join our dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial data entry, maintaining up-to-date records of supplier invoices, performing regular creditors’ reconciliations, and supporting the finance department in routine accounting tasks as well as financial reporting. The role requires strong computer literacy, a solid command of the English language, and a high level of numerical proficiency.
Responsibilities include:
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions
• Perform regular creditors’ reconciliations, investigating and resolving any discrepancies or outstanding balances
• Liaise directly with suppliers to ensure the efficient handling of returns, credit notes, and invoice-related queries
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and supporting documentation, primarily using Microsoft Excel
• Provide general administrative and clerical support to the finance team, contributing to smooth departmental operations
• Handle sensitive financial information with the utmost discretion and maintain strict confidentiality at all times
• Ensure all data entry and financial reporting activities are accurate, consistent, and compliant with internal controls and procedures
Qualifications required
Applicants must be ACCA part-qualified or have a strong academic background in finance.
Experience required
Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar finance or accounting role.
The ideal candidate must:
• Have strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Have excellent command of English, both written and verbal
• Have confidence in performing basic mathematical and pricing calculations accurately
• Be familiar with SunSystems (Sun) accounting software (will be considered a strong asset)
• Demonstrate high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Be well-organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
• Have good communication and interpersonal skills
