Job Description & Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, this role involves overseeing the financial operations of the assigned entities whilst ensuring precise and timely financial reporting, adherence to accounting standards, and strategic financial planning and analysis to support our overall goals.

Responsibilities include:
• Monitor and handle the day-to-day accounting tasks, including monthly reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and other financial reports
• Prepare and file VAT returns, Eco Contribution returns and any other statutory reporting required
• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Collaborate with operational teams to monitor KPIs and cost control
• Mentor and oversee the work of junior staff members
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts
• Monitor credit control and cash flow reporting
• Assist with the annual audit
• Carry out other ad hoc duties as needed from time to time

Qualifications required

Applicants must be in possession of a professional accounting qualification (UoM degree, ACCA or equivalent).

Experience required

Applicants must have proven experience as a Management Accountant, ideally within the hospitality industry.

The ideal candidate must:
• Be fluent in written and spoken English
• Have excellent knowledge of accounting principles
• Have experience in the preparation of management accounts
• Be a meticulous individual with strong analytical skills, problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Have experience using Shireburn Financial Management, Opera PMS and Simphony (will be considered an asset)
• Be able to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
