Job Description & Responsibilities
We are looking for a highly organized individual to join our team and manage our financial records. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities include:
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger
• Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements
• Prepare financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness
• Research and resolve discrepancies
• Develop and implement internal controls
• Prepare and file tax returns
The position is being offered on a part-time or full time with reduced hours.
Qualifications required
Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience required
Applicants must have at least 3 years' of experience in accounting.
The ideal candidate must:
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software
• Have excellent organizational and time management skills
• Have strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Be able to work independently and as part of a team
• Have experience with Shireburn Financial Manager (will be considered an asset)
