Job Description & Responsibilities

Overall Purpose of the Position
The selected candidate will be required to perform the daily processes of the Management Accounting Unit such as the payment of invoices and reconciliations.

Moreover, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the monthly accruals and prepayments for the management accounts, the monthly final withholding tax and for preparing the monthly unit management accounts.

Operational responsibilities:
• Test and upload the yearly final withholding tax report on the IRD’s portal
• Prepare the monthly final withholding tax reporting
• Prepare the loans and deposits by unit report
• Prepare the monthly final withholding tax report, loans and deposits by unit report
• Prepare Management Accounts by unit
• Prepare the accruals and prepayments and variance analysis
• Prepare daily reconciliations of Accounts against the General Ledger
• Prepare daily loans and deposits statistics and revaluation reserve reporting
• Handle supplier payments and / or refunds to staff as necessary
• Upload budgets on the core banking system of the Bank

General responsibilities:
• Implement and monitor performance measurement systems and other techniques benchmarking the Unit performance
• Work to exacting deadlines
• Submit any reports and/or supervise any projects and activities as may be directed
• Perform any other duties that may be reasonably assigned from time to time

Qualifications required

Applicants must be currently studying ACCA or equivalent.

Experience required

Applicants must have previous experience in a Finance environment.

The ideal candidate must:
• Have good analytical skills and attention to detail
• Be meticulous in approach
• Have an eye for detail
• Have a good knowledge of MS excel and word
• Be able to work under minimum supervision
• Have good writing skills
