Job Description & Responsibilities
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Executive to join our client’s finance team. This role is evenly split between internal accounting and client accounting, providing an excellent opportunity to gain diverse experience in financial administration. Responsibilities include:
Internal Accounting:
• Accurately posting sales invoices and ensuring financial records are up-to-date
• Managing aged debt reports and actively following up on outstanding debtors
• Preparing monthly financial reports for management review
• Conducting bank reconciliations to ensure cash flow is tracked correctly
Client Accounting:
• Processing client invoices and maintaining accurate financial records
• Posting bank and petty cash statements, and conducting reconciliations
• Following up with clients to ensure timely payments
• Assisting with client month-end reporting and reconciliation tasks
• Managing client VAT returns and ensuring compliance with deadlines
• Acting as a key point of contact for client financial queries
Qualifications required
Applicants must have an A' level standard of education in Accounting or be in possession of the AAT Diploma.
Experience required
Applicants must have a minimum of 2-3 years of local experience in accounts or bookkeeping.
The ideal candidate must:
• Have strong understanding of financial processes, including invoicing and reconciliations
• Be proficient in Xero and Shireburn (would be considered an asset)
• Be proficient in MS Excel
• Have excellent communication skills for liaising effectively with both internal teams and clients
