Job Description & Responsibilities
We are seeking to recruit a part-time Accountant to join our team. This role is home-based, and therefore the applicant may work exclusively on a remote basis.
Responsibilities include:
• Posting bills on our accounting software
• Carrying out payments of suppliers
• Carrying out reconciliations of payments received and payments made
• Issuing statements to clients
• Preparing quarterly VAT returns and Annual Provisional Tax payments
• Preparing and submitting Annual Returns
• Preparing quarterly management accounts, noting accruals and pre-payments
• Preparing and monitoring budgets
The ideal candidate shall be a person already in employment elsewhere but who has 4 - 6 hours a week to dedicate exclusively for part-time work with us.
Qualifications required
Applicants must be in possession of a Degree in Finance / Accounting or be in the early stages of attaining the ACCA qualification.
Experience required
The ideal candidate should:
• Have 5 years experience working as an accountant
• Be proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite software
• Have good attention to detail
• Have experience with Zoho Books accounting software (will be considered an asset)
