We seek a dedicated Accounts Senior Associate to join our team and contribute to seamlessly managing accounting tasks within our Practice. This pivotal role involves providing essential support to our esteemed Clients across diverse industries/sectors.

Responsibilities include:
• Demonstrate a professional grasp of double-entry principles, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial records
• Assist in the compilation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly management accounts along with related tasks as required
• Communicate effectively with clients to address queries, provide updates, and deliver high-quality service
• Perform advanced bookkeeping tasks and data entry, maintaining compliance with accounting standards and procedures
• Conduct bank reconciliations, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring timely updates
• Prepare and review VAT and tax returns for submission, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements
• Provide support in business consultancy engagements, contributing insights and recommendations for client growth and optimisation
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a learning-oriented environment
• Stay updated with industry changes and implement best practices in accounting and financial operations

Qualifications required
Applicants must have completed or be currently undergoing the final stages of ACCA or an equivalent qualification.
Experience required
Applicants must have a minimum of 2/4 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
The ideal candidate must:
• Be fluent in both Maltese and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Be proficient in accounting software, particularly Xero
• Have advanced Excel skills
• Have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail
• Have proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and meet deadlines
• Have a positive attitude and commitment to continuous learning and professional development
Desirable:
• Experience with Odoo is an advantage
• Be tech-savvy, with an interest in leveraging technology for process improvement
