Job Description & Responsibilities
A vacancy has arisen in our Accounts Department for the post of Junior Accountant on a full-time basis. The selected candidate would need to have a solid knowledge of accounting practices and would be prepared to support the Financial Controller in reporting, statements and guiding team members.
Main responsibilities include:
• Assist with general ledger entries, accounts payable, and receivable processing
• Prepare and file VAT returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations
• Monitor VAT deadlines and resolve discrepancies
• Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate financial records
• Support the preparation of financial reports and statements
• Supervise and guide other team members, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities
• Provide support during audits by preparing required documentation
• Prepare other ad-hoc reporting as may be required
Qualifications required
Applicants must be in possession of a degree in Accounting or be in process of obtaining the ACCA qualification.
Experience required
Two (2) years’ experience in a similar role would be considered an asset.

• Have analytical and organizational skills
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in English
• Be able to build customer relationships and ensure good communication
